Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data FailleGlam (failleglam.com) collects, why, and what your rights are. We collect as little as we can.

FailleGlam (failleglam.com) is an independent online publication operated and published by the FailleGlam Editorial Team. The quickest way to reach us is by email at media@failleglam.com. In this policy, “FailleGlam”, “we” and “us” mean the FailleGlam Editorial Team.

What we collect

  • Newsletter. Newsletter sign-ups are currently closed. If you signed up earlier, we hold your email address, the page you signed up on and the date, and we will delete them on request.
  • Contact form. If you send us a message, we store your name, email address, message, and the IP address and browser it was sent from (to protect against spam). We use this only to reply to you.
  • Clicks on shop links. When you click a link to a shop, we record which product and article the click came from. We do not store your IP address or set a cookie for this; we keep only a short daily-rotating code used to avoid counting the same click twice.
  • Server logs. Like every website, our hosting provider keeps short-term technical logs (such as IP address, browser and pages requested) to keep the site secure and working.

Cookies

FailleGlam does not use advertising or tracking cookies of its own. Reading FailleGlam does not set any cookies. Only the editors’ own admin area uses a technical session cookie, which readers never receive. When you follow an affiliate link, the shop or affiliate network (for example Impact or Awin) may set its own cookies on its own website to record that you came from FailleGlam; their use is governed by their privacy policies.

Third-party services

  • Hosting. The site is hosted by Hostinger, which processes technical data on our behalf.
  • Fonts. Our typefaces are served from our own server. Your browser does not connect to Google or any other font service when you read FailleGlam.
  • Shops and affiliate networks. Once you leave FailleGlam for a shop, that shop’s own privacy policy applies.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it except with the service providers above as needed to run the site.

How long we keep it

Newsletter details are kept until you ask us to delete them. Contact messages are kept for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and then deleted, normally within 24 months. Click records do not identify you.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under the UK and EU GDPR and US state privacy laws), you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, object to or restrict its use, and receive a copy of it. To make a request, use our contact form and choose “Privacy or data request”, or email media@failleglam.com. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

FailleGlam is written for adults and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and the date below.
