Anyday Review: The Glass Dish That Made Us Respect the Microwave Again
A clever, well-made system for steaming, poaching and cooking in the microwave. It can’t brown or crisp, and you pay a premium for the design.

01 Why We Reviewed Anyday
Anyday was founded by Steph Chen and launched in 2021, with chef David Chang as a design and recipe partner. It’s now part of Meyer Corporation’s cookware portfolio. The idea is a borosilicate glass dish with a domed lid and a silicone vent knob that controls steam, so the microwave can cook rice, fish, eggs, vegetables and even pasta properly instead of just reheating. The dishes are also oven-safe (without the lid knob), dishwasher-safe and plastic-free. In 2026 the brand added the Anydeli silicone container line.
The honest caveat: microwave cooking has limits. You won’t get browning, crisp skin or a sear, and editors note the sets are pricey for “microwavable glass.” Also make sure you’re on the right website. The brand’s official site is cookanyday.com. The domain anyday.com is parked and for sale and has nothing to do with the brand.

03 Honest Breakdown
✅ WHAT WORKS
- Real microwave cooking. Controlled steam cooks eggs, fish, grains and veg evenly.
- Plastic-free glass. No heating food in plastic, and it doubles as storage.
- Oven and dishwasher safe. One dish handles cooking, serving, storing and cleaning.
- Fast weeknight meals. Most recipes take under 15 minutes.
- Excellent owner ratings. On-site reviews average around 4.9 stars across hundreds of reviews.
❌ WHAT TO KNOW
- No browning. It can’t crisp, sear or roast like an oven or pan.
- Premium pricing. It costs well above standard glass storage.
- Learning curve. It’s easy to miss the vent-knob instructions at first.
- Glass weight. Large sets are heavy and take up cupboard space.
Overall, it’s the smartest microwave upgrade we’ve tested, as long as you know its limits.
04 Best Products
Best Overall Pick: 8-Piece Glass Round Dish Set (~$119, reg. $148)
Four sizes with lids, which covers everything from eggs to family-size rice. It’s the brand’s most-reviewed set.
Best Value: 4-Piece Glass Round Dish Set (~$55)
The low-cost starter: two dishes with lids, ideal for singles, students and office lunches.
Premium / Upgrade Pick: 12-Piece Glass Round Dish Set (~$180)

Approach With Caution: Anydeli Silicone Containers
They’re useful for storage, but they’re a new 2026 line with less long-term feedback than the glass dishes.
05 What Buyers Are Actually Saying
These are great! I’m a terrible cook and already I’ve made quite a few things that have impressed the family.
I frequently make shakshuka at work with my AnyDay.
Editors note the sets “may be a little pricey for microwavable glasses and lids.” — Tasting Table review
Owners say the vent-knob instructions are easy to overlook, which affects early results. — Editorial testing (summarised)
The pattern: Owners are enthusiastic about speed and results. The pushback is mainly about price and what microwaves physically can’t do.
